Two hensBook Club Questions

What's the first thing you should do if your book club is reading Fowl Weather? Okay, now that you've taken that drink, the second thing you should do is consider enlisting the author's help. If you've got a speaker phone – and especially if you live in the eastern half of the USA – Bob would be happy to be a phone guest at your book club meeting. Drop him an email at the address at the bottom of this column to arrange it.

If you decide to forego Bob's meddling, you still might like a few questions about Fowl Weather for your book club members to discuss. Check out the topics below, and if you come up with better questions, please share them with Bob. He will steal them and post them here.

How would you have dealt with Eileen Kucek?

What did you think of the author's depiction of his mother?

How can a family best support a member who suffers from Alzheimer's disease?

Has Fowl Weather changed your opinion of pet birds in any way?

Have you ever had an experience with ghosts, weird coincidences, or winter lemurs – or anything similar to the strange occurences that torment Bob?

How did you interpret the final chapter of the book?

Looking at the photo of the two hens on this page, can you tell that Bob used Photoshop to remove a second chair from the background? I thought not.
