Linda and I were both shocked by the death of the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. Read Linda's tribute to the man she calls "A great, great spirit."

Music Writing
Bob Tarte has written the Technobeat world music review for The Beat magazine since 1989. All of Bob's columns since 1990 are posted at his Technobeat website. Many of the columns begin with an essay on a completely non-musical (if not pointless) topic. The site contains around 1,000 individual CD reviews by Bob, plus columns by fellow writer for The Beat Dave Hucker.
Wildlife Rehab Center Ltd.
Linda and Bob raise and release orphan songbirds each spring and summer, including Eastern Bluebirds, Baltimore Orioles, European Starlings, American Robins, Cedar Waxwings, and Blue Jays. They do this under the supervision of Peg Markle, Executive Director of the state- and federally-licensed Wildlife Rehab Center Ltd. Peg and her husband Roger care for over 1,500 orphaned birds and animals every year. They perform this awe-inspiring work using mostly money from their own pockets. Please visit their website and make a much-needed donation to this vitally important non-profit organization. Your donation will go toward the food, housing, and treatment of injured and abandoned animals.Wildlife Rehab Center Ltd.
Hazel Stevens
My friend Hazel Stephens is a very gifted artist who produces fabric and ceramic creations. Her hand-painted neckties are fabulous, and so is her ceramic tile of Mimi the Duck. Hop to this page, scroll down, and give Mimi a look.
